Paul Frederick

A 30-year veteran of the hospitality industry – and of the myriad safety and security issues that hotels, resorts, and their travelers face – Mr. Paul Frederick has managed successful crisis management, threat mitigation, travel security, physical security, fire safety, violence prevention, and risk assessment programs for more than 6,000 hotels in more than 110 countries. Mr. Frederick currently serves as a security and safety consultant to clients across all industries, supporting them as they design or expand their security programming –even serving as an expert witness in a range of litigation, on both the defense and plaintiff side.
Mr. Frederick has managed successful crisis management, threat mitigation, travel security, and risk assessment programs in more than 110 countries.
In his prior roles – which include stints as Global Head of Safety & Security for both Hilton Worldwide and Starwood Hotels & Resorts – Mr. Frederick streamlined and oversaw security strategy and implementation across a range of global markets. He has also served as Senior Advisor to the U.S. State Department’s Overseas Advisory Council, as a committee member of the FBI’s Domestic Security Alliance Council, and as chairman of the American Hotel and Lodging Association’s – Security Committee.
Mr. Frederick is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice. He holds certifications as a Certified Protection Professional (“CPP”) from the American Society of Industrial Security and as a Certified Lodging Security Director (“CLSD”) from the American Hotel and Lodging Association.
