As Consulting Director of Cybersecurity, Mr. Silberstein expertly guides clients in addressing risk management with a unique blend of business acumen and technological ability, backed by over 30 years of leadership at the forefront of innovation. A veteran professional in cyber risk and compliance, Mr. Silberstein seamlessly navigates business and IT/cyber functions, communicating with clarity at all levels of an organization.

Mr. Silberstein’s deep understanding of cyber risk and compliance challenges across industry sectors – be it financial, healthcare, real estate, retail, or manufacturing – facilitates his effective, tailored approach to protecting clients, regardless of their business focus. 

Having performed hundreds of risk assessments for various healthcare organizations and financial institutions, conducing HIPAA and FFIEC assessments and audits, Mr. Silberstein is adept at collaborating closely with all stakeholders to develop methodologies, policies and procedures, and gap analyses across IT infrastructures and cyber risk. His work includes leading cyber security vulnerability assessments for internal and external network infrastructures, performing vulnerability testing, guarding against social engineering, and phishing campaigns, securing email defense, and managing network operations/secure operations centers (SOC).

Mr. Silberstein’s breadth of expertise extends to leading fast-paced incident response initiatives when data breaches, ransomware, and Business Email Compromise (BEC) incidents occur, to identify the source of intrusion and to respond to and remediate threats. In doing so, he collaborates closely with internal team members and provides Chief Information Security Officer services leading organizations to improve cybersecurity maturity by securing cloud architectures, cybersecurity strategies, and roadmaps in line with industry leading compliance standards. 

Mr. Silberstein’s mastery in technology, security, and risk management across his illustrious 30-year career includes experience serving as part of the management team leading cybersecurity at BDO, directing cybersecurity managed service companies in the US and Hong Kong, and working within US government agencies on various classified projects.
