With over 20 years of experience in digital transformation, Fintech, Regtech, cybersecurity, regulatory compliance and data management, Mr. Joonho Lee brings significant digital security and transformation expertise to Polaris Risk.

Mr. Lee role as a trusted Polaris advisor further cements the strategic partnership between our global risk firm and the AI innovator TalisAI – a company co-founded by Mr. Lee in 2018. Together, our companies address one of modern business’ most insidious threats: the rogue insider. “People at Potential Risk,” or PAPR, is a cutting-edge intelligence tool that marries Polaris’ industry-leading security and investigative strategies with Talisai’s revolutionary machine-learning capabilities and AI accountability framework, helping organizations prevent, monitor and respond to the many forms of personnel-borne risk.

Before co-founding TalisAI, Mr. Lee held various leadership roles in the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and San Francisco, including Sr. VP & Chief Information Officer and Head of Strategy & Operations. Mr. Lee also instituted and led the bank’s national cybersecurity response unit, where he proved his cybersecurity acuity on the national scale; during his tenure, Mr. Lee successfully prevented, investigated or resolved threats to the Federal Reserve System and the US Department of the Treasury.

Education and Certifications

  • M.B.A and M.S. degrees from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, as well as a B.S. in computer engineering from the University of Connecticut.
  • J.D. from New York Law School, and executive leadership program at Harvard Law. Mr. Lee is admitted to New York State bar as an attorney specializing in information law and policy.
